Position title: Student Representative
Position type: Volunteer
Term limit: 2-year term, but are eligible for re-election for up to 2 consecutive terms. Terms shall start in January and end in December.
Eligibility: Candidate is currently enrolled in college or university.
Time commitment: up to 2 hours each month; this includes the general call with all task force members. Note that there are no general call meetings in May, July, or August. There is usually one annual in-person meeting; location TBD.
Position description: Student Representative serves as a liaison between the National Task Force on Hepatitis B and their school’s HBV activities.
Student Representatives are responsible for building and expanding local resources for general Task Force members. There shall be up to 3, but not fewer than 1 Student Representative at any given time. Student Representative receives no compensation other than reasonable reimbursable expenses. Student Representatives may request sub-contracts or mini-grants for their local organizations to implement Task Force sponsored projects.
Note: Student Representative may seek assistance from the Administrator to carry out Task Force related projects in their region, i.e. share activities, events, and communication.
