Term limit:  2-year term and may be re-elected for 2 consecutive terms. Terms shall start in January and end in December.

Eligibility:  Candidate has experience with financial management and fundraising.

Time commitment:  up to 2 – 3 hours each month; this includes: one Executive team meeting among the Co-Chairs, Secretary, Treasurer, and Administrator to plan for the monthly call agenda and proposed projects; and one general call with all task force members.  Note that there are no general call meetings in May, July, or August. There is usually one annual in-person meeting; location TBD.

Position description:  The Treasurer provides guidance on fundraising for the National Task Force on Hepatitis B Focus on Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, a volunteer-based national coalition.  The Treasurer may suggest fundraising and/or grant opportunities to pursue.  The Treasurer receives direct support from the Administrator to seek funding.

In addition, the treasurer shall provide a financial update (when requested) at each Executive Board meeting. The treasurer shall oversee the finances of the coalition, assist in the preparation of the budget, help develop fundraising plans (including identifying and seeking grant opportunities), and make financial information available to board members and the public. These duties may also be fulfilled by an appointed member, such as the Administrator for the Task Force, who will work under the guidance of the Treasurer.

Note: The Administrator is responsible for preparing and submitting grant proposals each year to secure project funding, including any necessary mini-grants or shared resources for Task Force members. The Administrator is responsible for assisting the Executive Team with overall management of activities and record keeping for the Task Force.
